Baku Mayor"s Office refused to authorize a rally in support of political prisoners
Baku City Executive Power has refused to authorize a rally to be held on November 19 demanding the release of political prisoners. The rally was initiated by the Center for Democracy and Human Rights (CDHR). According to the representative of the CDHR, head of the People's Party Panah Huseyn, the organizers planned to hold a picket in front of one of the government agencies: the presidential administration, the Supreme Court, or the General Prosecutor's Office.
However, in response, the Mayor's office answered that the notice does not comply with Article 5 of the Law "On freedom of assembly".
The CDHR unites: Party "Classic" Popular Front "," Musavat ", The Democratic Party, "Umid", "Freedom" party, the Liberal Democratic Party, Citizens and Development Party, the party of "Aydinlar"," Great Azerbaijan", Islamic Democratic Party, the Liberal Party, the People's Party, the party of “National Unity - Unified Azerbaijan” and the Party of Free Democrats. -16D-
