Baku to host World Urban Development Forum
Baku/22.12.23/Turan: In 2026, Baku will host the 13th World Urban Development Forum.
This is stated in the message of the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture of Azerbaijan.
The decision on the Forum was adopted at the 3rd session of the executive board of the United Nations Population Programme, held in Kenya. Recall that previously, world urban planning forums were held in Katowice, Barcelona, Rio de Janeiro, Vancouver, Abu Dhabi, Kuala Lumpur.
In 2024, the forum will be held in Cairo. -03B-

The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry declined to clarify for Turan the conflict reported by the Politico website between Azerbaijan's Ambassador to the EU Vagif Sadikhov and Armenia's head of diplomatic representation to the EU, Tigran Balayan. The Ministry only confirmed that Politico had indeed communicated with the Azerbaijani ambassador and that he told the foreign media outlet that everything Balayan claimed was false.
