Bayramov and Donfrid discuss the post-conflict situation in the region

Baku/20.10.21/Turan: On October 20, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov had a telephone conversation with the Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Karen Donfried.

Donfried congratulated Bayramov on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the restoration of Azerbaijan's independence,the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.

The sides exchanged views on the agenda of cooperation between the two countries and stressed the importance of developing relations in a number of areas. During the telephone conversation, the post-conflict situation in the region was also discussed.

Bayramov brought to the attention of the Assistant Secretary of State the position of official Baku on the normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations on the basis of the principles of international law.

In turn, Donfried, stressing the importance of normalizing relations between the two countries, expressed the willingness of the United States to support this process.
