Bayramov received Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran
Baku/10.10.23/Turan: On October 9, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Ceyhun Bayramov received Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Mehdi Safari, who arrived to participate in the 27th meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization in Shusha.
Issues of Azerbaijani-Iranian relations were discussed during the meeting. The sides noted that recent visits and high-level meetings have made a positive contribution to the further development of relations.
Ideas were exchanged on the implementation of the North-South transport corridor and on the implementation of communications between the East Zangezur Economic Region and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan. The increase in the dynamics of trade and economic relations was noted with satisfaction, and the activities of the Intergovernmental commission were highly appreciated.
The sides also exchanged views on the latest developments in the region. Bayramov gave detailed information on anti-terrorist measures aimed at stopping Armenia's political and military provocations and ensuring the withdrawal of illegal Armenian armed formations from the territory of Azerbaijan.
Baku has implemented measures for the reintegration of Armenian citizens within the framework of the Constitution and legislation of Azerbaijan. and is interested in establishing a lasting peace with Armenia based on the principles of respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. -06B-
