Bahruz Hasanov, the bodyguard of Ali Kerimli, head of PFPA, was arrested this afternoon by persons in civilian clothes. According to PFPA, Hasanov was taken to the 33rd Surakhani District Police Office. The 33rd Police Department confirmed the arrest, without giving reasons.
According to the press service of the Interior Ministry, Hasanov arrested for beating and insulting a citizen, Nazim Aliyev, and detained due to his appeal. The investigation is ongoing. Allegations of belonging to the opposition is behind Hasanov detention are unfounded, said the press service.
