CEC Presents Results of Elections to Constitutional Court for Approval

Baku / 16.04.18 / Turan: On Sunday, the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Azerbaijan summed up the results of the early presidential elections in Azerbaijan on April 11. The CEC head Mazahir Panahov stated that "violations of the law that could seriously affect the election results were not revealed."

At the same time, the CEC abolished the results of the voting at the 2nd polling station of the 57th Kurdamir constituency, the 26th polling station of Jalilabad-Masalli-Bilasuvar Constituency No 69, the 10th station of Lankaran Urban Constituency No. 73 and the 12th station of Lankaran Rural Constituency No. 74.

The election commissions of the 2nd polling station of the 57th Kurdamir constituency and the 12th station of Lankaran Rural Constituency No. 74 were disbanded.

The protocol was signed by all members of the CEC.

According to the protocol on the general results of the elections, Ilham Aliyev was voted by 86.02% of the voters, Zaheed Oruj - 3.12%, Sardar Jalaloglu - 3.03%, Gudrat Hasanguliyev - 3.02%, Hafiz Hajiyev - 1.52%, Araz Alizadeh - 1.38%, Faraj Guliyev - 1.17%, and Raazi Nurullayev - 0.74%.

The election turnout was 74.3 percent.

The results of the elections were submitted to the Constitutional Court for approval. The decision has to be taken within 14 days from the voting day, that is, before April 25.
