Chehragani: I Have Not Been Allowed into Turkey for Six Years
Mahmudali Chehragani, who has been in exile in the U.S. and is the leader of the Movement of South Azerbaijan National Awakening, gave a video interview to Turan.
He said that, for 6 years he has not been able to enter Turkey, although he has taken steps to rectify this problem.
"As a result of pressure from the Iranian regime, I was deported from Turkey. Since then, all the doors in front of me have been closed. My attempts to resolve this issue yet do not change anything," he said.
Referring to the situation in South Azerbaijan, Chehragani said that the regime is trying to squeeze Azerbaijanis out of the Lake Urmia Region, Maku and Khoy and settle other ethnic groups in these areas. -26D04-
