On August 2, a Georgian delegation headed by the Chief of the State Security Service of Georgia Vakhtang Gomelauri arrived in Baku.
In Baku he was received by the head of the State Security Service of Azerbaijan Madat Guliyev. Then there was a meeting in an expanded format.
As stated in the official report, Gomelauri noted the importance of expansion of bilateral cooperation in the fight against common threats in order to ensure stability and security.
The sides discussed specific issues of cooperation, including the exchange of experience and information.
In conclusion, the parties signed a memorandum of cooperation between the security services of Azerbaijan and Georgia. -02D-

On January 15, the Tbilisi Court of Appeals rejected the appeal of Afghan Sadigov, the founder of the Azel TV website, who had protested his extradition to Azerbaijan.
