CIS Summit Ended in Dushanbe
Baku / 28.09.18 / Turan: The summit of CIS leaders took place in Dushanbe with the participation of President Ilham Aliyev on Friday.
Presidents and heads of government discussed issues of cooperation in the economic and humanitarian spheres, and the interaction of law enforcement agencies.
The heads of Ukraine and Turkmenistan did not attend the meeting.
Following the meeting, a number of multilateral documents were signed to deepen cooperation in the humanitarian, law enforcement and military spheres.
In addition, a joint statement was signed on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 1948. -02D-

The Prosecutor's Office is investigating the deaths of two people during the recent floods in Baku, Baku Mayor Eldar Azizov said commenting on the consequences of the flooding of tunnels in the capital during the heavy rains on October 22 to journalists. According to him, the sewer system could not handle the large volume of floodwater, which led to the drowning of two people in a tunnel in the Sabunchu district of Baku. The floods revealed vulnerabilities in Baku's water infrastructure.
