Court of Appeal upholds Leyla Yunus in custody
Today Baku Court of Appeal rejected a motion to change the measure of restraint against the director of the Institute for Peace and Democracy, Leyla Yunus. According to Turan lawyer, Javad Javadov, the court upheld the trial court's decision, which arrested her for three months. Leyla Yunus accused under several Articles of the Criminal Code: 274 (treason), 213 (tax evasion), 192 (illegal business), 320 (forgery), (178.3.2)large-scale fraud. Amnesty International, Leyla Yunus, recognized her prisoner of conscience. -16D04-
