Baku/01.03.23/Turan: As of the evening of February 28, the death toll as a result of catastrophic earthquakes in Turkey on February 6 reached 45,089 people. 

This is reported in the message of the Emergency Situations Agency AFAD.

After earthquakes of magnitude 7.7 in the Pazardzhik district of Kahramanmarash and magnitude 7.6 in the center of Elbistan, 11,020 aftershocks occurred.

According to the latest data, 1 million 971.000 people were evacuated from Kahramanmarash, Gaziantep, Sanliurfa, Diyarbakir, Adana, Adiyaman, Osmaniye, Hatay, Kilis, Malatya and Elazige.

Note that 35,837 tents have been set up in 11 provinces. The installation of container towns in 10 provinces continues, AFAD reports. -02D-
