Baku/09.12.13/Turan : Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has refused to participate in Yerevan on December 12 at a meeting of the Board of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC).
Instead Azerbaijan will be represented by Head of the Economic Department of the Foreign Ministry Shovgi Mehdizadeh , the MFA .
It is noteworthy that at the meeting the chairmanship was to go to Azerbaijan. However, due to the chairmanship at the Council of Europe , Azerbaijan gave way in the BSEC to Bulgaria.
Note that the Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu will attend the session in Yerevan. -06D-

On the evening of February 5, it was reported that journalist Shahnaz Beylargizi had been arrested. She had been a presenter on the Toplum TV channel for several years. After a criminal case was initiated against the channel in March 2024 and nearly all of its staff were arrested, Beylargizi was questioned multiple times. According to relatives, the police conducted a search of her apartment.

On February 5, President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree to provide humanitarian aid to Ukraine. According to the document, the Ministry of Energy has been allocated 1 million US dollars to purchase and send electrical equipment, manufactured in Azerbaijan, to Ukraine.
