Eldar Hasanov again admitted to SSS hospital
Baku/02.08.21/Turan: The former ambassador of Azerbaijan to Serbia and the former prosecutor general of the country, Eldar Hasanov, was again transferred to the SSS hospital, said the lawyer Javad Javadov.
According to him, on July 31, during the investigative action in the room of the SGB detention center, Hasanov fell again from dizziness. Because there are no medical staff in the pre-trial detention center on weekends, they did not provide him with prompt medical assistance.
“Today Eldar Hasanov was again transferred to the military hospital of the State Security Service. The disease he has diagnosed has no cure. Prevention is not possible in prison.
Taking into account the 66-year-old age of Eldar Hasanov, I ask the Prosecutor General's Office to make an urgent submission to the court to change the measure of restraint, or to transfer him to house arrest,” the lawyer said. The defender claims that since October 2020 (after the arrest) Hasanov fell dozens of times.
Eldar Hasanov was detained on August 13, 2020 by employees of the State Security Service and arrested on charges of abuse and misappropriation of budget funds.
In 2001-2020, Eldar Hasanov served as the ambassador of Azerbaijan to Romania, and then to Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia. In 1995-2000, he was the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan. -03D06-
