E.Mamedyarov: Azerbaijan recognizes the territorial integrity of Ukraine
Azerbaijan supports soon restoration of stability in Ukraine, said Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov at the press conference after talks with his Afghan counterpart, Zarar Ahmad Osman , answering the question from Turan on the attitude of the official Baku for a referendum in the Crimea.
"We want a speedy solution to all these issues in Ukraine. Azerbaijan respects the territorial integrity and sovereignty of all nations. For Azerbaijan itself faced with the problem of violation of territorial integrity," said Mammadyarov.
He stressed that Azerbaijan sees the resolution of all the issues in the Ukraine in the framework of Ukrainian Constitution.
Afghan minister for his part said that Kabul supports the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and the UN Security Council on the Karabakh conflict.
He reminded that Afghanistan condemns the occupation of foreign territory, as the Afghan people in the years of Soviet occupation has lost two million people.
Osman expressed a hope that Russia and Ukraine will peacefully solve arising problems.—06D—

The International Committee of Concerned Scholars (ICS) has appealed to the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, requesting his assistance in securing the release of the arrested researcher, Igbal Abilov. The ICS expressed concern that Abilov's arrest "may be related to his research on ethnic minorities in Azerbaijan, conducted in collaboration with scholars from Armenia."
