Foreign Ministry reacts to placing the Yezidis in Karabakh
Placing the Kurds- Yezidis in Karabakh is contrary to the provisions of the Geneva Convention, said at a press briefing on Thursday, Elman Abdullayev , the Foreign Ministry spokesman of Azerbaijan Ministry of Foreign Affairs. According to him, such actions of the Armenian side hinder the peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict.
International organizations have already been informed about the attempt of Armenia to place in Nagorno-Karabakh and the occupied territories around the Yezidi Kurds. The OSCE Minsk Group should express a strong reaction on the matter, said Abdullayev.
Earlier, the Armenian authorities announced their intention to place in Karabakh 200 families Yezidi Kurds from Iraq. -16D04-
