Has Azerbaijan appealed regarding Azerbaijani women and children in Iraq?
Baku / 06.04.18 / Turan: "There has been no official appeal from Azerbaijan about Azerbaijani women and children in Iraq. As the government of Iraq, we are ready to negotiate about Azerbaijani women and children in the country and hold discussions on this topic." Iraqi Deputy Foreign Minister,SayidShorsh Khalid, said this in Baku, noting that assistance was provided to return children to many countries.
"We assisted Russia in returning the remaining 27 children in Iraq, and we are ready to discuss this issue with Azerbaijan, but there has been no official appeal from Azerbaijan to us, if there is an appeal, we are ready to consider it."
In September last year, Azerbaijani children were found in shelters in the territories liberated from LIH. One of them, named Abdulla, was brought to Azerbaijan and handed over to his grandfather.
The State Security Service noted that over the last 5 years, up to 900 immigrants from Azerbaijan joined the LIH. Of these, 151 returned to Azerbaijan and were subsequently convicted.-0-

From 19 to 26 July, 24 automatic rifles, 1 machine gun, 9 rifles, 28 grenades, 441 shells, 3118 cartridges of different calibre and other ammunition were found in Khankendi, the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry reported.
