High-ranking military State Border Service detained
Baku / 14.05.20 / Turan: As a result of joint operational investigative measures of the State Security Service (SSS) and the General Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan, the deputy chief of the State Border Service (SBS), Lieutenant General Afgan Nagiyev, and other senior military personnel and civil servants of this department were detained, reported the SBS.
The investigation is ongoing in the General Directorate for Combating Corruption under the Attorney General of Azerbaijan.
Additional information will be provided to the public, the SBS press release says.
A day earlier, the State Security Service reported on the suppression of unlawful actions by officials of the SBS Coast Guard. -21D06-
