Human Rights Activist Questioned by Prosecutor
Baku / 09.05.20 / Turan: Human rights activist Zafar Ahmedov was interrogated at the Serious Crimes Investigation Department of the General Prosecutor's Office on May 8.
This was reported to Turan by Ahmedov himself.
According to the human rights activist, in the morning he received a call from the prosecutor's office.
“I was invited to the prosecutor's office. When I asked to send an official summons, he told me that his call was an “official invitation,” Ahmedov said.
He was interrogated as a witness.
“But they didn’t tell me in which criminal case they were interrogating me. Perhaps this is in the same case in which the PFPA member and journalist Saadat Jahangir was interrogated,” Ahmedov said.
Zafar Ahmedov is the father of the young activist of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan, Fuad Ahmedli.
Zafar Ahmedov is also a member of the Coordination Center for Political Prisoner Families and the Committee against Repression and Torture. –21B-
