Ilham Aliyev: Armenia aggressor
Armenia is an aggressor and the international community must recognize this and hold Yerevan responsible. This was the leitmotif of the speech by President Ilham Aliyev at the PACE session in Strasbourg on 24 June.
Armenians seek to establish a new Armenian state on the historical lands of Azerbaijan in Nagorno-Karabakh, which is absolutely unacceptable. Moreover, modern Armenia was also established on the historical Azerbaijani lands as a result of the policy of the Russian Empire, he said.
Aliyev expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that the international community and organizations do not take sanctions against Armenia. "This situation cannot last forever and Azerbaijan will restore its territorial integrity," he said, calling the Armenian authorities a criminal regime, which the people of Armenia must get rid of." -02B-
