Ilham Aliyev congratulates Vladimir Putin
Baku/12.06.22/Turan: On June 12, the head of state Ilham Aliyev congratulated the President of Russia on the occasion of the Day of Russia.
The message says that the signing of the Declaration on Allied Interaction in February of this year has consolidated the high level of interstate ties that have developed over the past thirty years.
“I am confident that through joint efforts, relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation will continue to steadily strengthen and expand for the benefit of our peoples and countries,” the message says. -0-

On November 15, animal rights activist Kamran Mammadli was detained while staging a protest at the COP29 climate conference. Mammadli was protesting the shooting of street dogs in Azerbaijan. He raised a sign above his head that read: "Azerbaijani authorities are shooting dogs on the streets!"
