Ilham Aliyev Does not Need Support from Vladimir Putin
Statements from some media say that Russian President Vladimir Putin visit to Baku was in support of Ilham Aliyev upcoming elections are not true. This was stated by the executive secretary of the party New Azerbaijan Ali Akhmedov, commenting on the results of Putin's visit to Baku.
According to him, the only force supporting the President of Azerbaijan is the Azerbaijani people, the voters. Observations and surveys show that the vast majority of the population supports Aliyev, said Ahmedov.
