Ilham Aliyev is ready to meet with Serzh Sargsyan

Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group are going to the end of the year to organize a meeting between the presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia. The Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has agreed to such a meeting, reporters were told today by Igor Popov, the OSCE Minsk Group co-chair of Russia, he said after Aliyev’s meeting with the OSCE Minsk Group. Today, the mediators are leaving for Yerevan to hold a similar meeting with the President of Armenia, and they will make a statement on the results of the visit to the region. 

Popov said that mediators expect to arrange a meeting between the two leaders before the end of the year.

Last time the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia met in January 2012 in Sochi.—06D-
