Ilham Aliyev joined Kaspar and Caspian Sea Oil Fleet
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on the establishment of JSC Azerbaijan's Caspian Sea Shipping.
According to the document, the new company will be transferred the property of the state-owned Caspian Sea Shipping Company (Kaspar) and the Caspian Sea Oil Fleet of the state oil company SOCAR.
The company's appointed head is Rauf Geyush oglu Veliyev.
Aydin Bashirov who headed Kaspar for about 20 years did not get an appointment in the new body. -06D -

The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) today issued five rulings on applications from Azerbaijan. The case of "Afgan Mammadov v. Azerbaijan" concerned the complainant's exclusion from the Bar Association. Mammadov was expelled based on a complaint filed by a colleague, which he considered unjust. The ECHR ruled that Mammadov's rights had been violated and ordered Azerbaijan to pay him €5,000 in compensation for moral damage and €1,000 to cover legal costs.
