On April 6 the President Ilham Aliyev who is currently in Saudi Arabia, met in Jeddah with Ahmed Mohammed Ali, the head of the Islamic Development Bank. During the meeting was marked a high level of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Islamic Development Bank on projects related to oil and gas, electricity, water supply, road construction, infrastructure projects, agriculture, industry, investment. The sides also exchanged views on further development of cooperation and involvement of other partners, according to a statement on the website of the President. -16D04-

The international organization "Women Press Freedom" condemned the arrest of journalist Shahnaz Beylergizi in Azerbaijan. Shamshad Aga, editor of the "Argument.az" website, has been found guilty in the Meydan TV case of smuggling (Article 206.3.2 of the Criminal Code) and sentenced to two months and one day in detention.
