Ilham Aliyev received the Adviser of the US State Department and the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus
Baku/06.03.23/Turan: On March 6, Head of State Ilham Aliyev received Louis Bono, Adviser to the US State Department for Negotiations in the South Caucasus, and Toivo Klaar, the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus.
During the conversation with Bono, Aliyev stressed the fruitfulness of the meeting in Munich with the Armenian Prime Minister and expressed gratitude to US Secretary of State Blinken for his peacekeeping efforts. The parties discussed ways to normalize relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
Similar issues were raised at the meeting between Aliyev and Toivo Klara. In particular, the possibility of holding a meeting of representatives of Baku and Yerevan in Brussels. ---02D---

The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) today issued five rulings on applications from Azerbaijan. The case of "Afgan Mammadov v. Azerbaijan" concerned the complainant's exclusion from the Bar Association. Mammadov was expelled based on a complaint filed by a colleague, which he considered unjust. The ECHR ruled that Mammadov's rights had been violated and ordered Azerbaijan to pay him €5,000 in compensation for moral damage and €1,000 to cover legal costs.
