President Ilham Aliyev received the delegation headed by the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Europe and Eurasia of the U.S. House of Representatives, Republican Congressman Dan Burton from Indiana Danny Lee "Dan" Burton.
According to the press service of the president, Burton said that Azerbaijan is an important country in the region, and the United States attaches great importance to cooperation with them.
Aliyev noted the high level of bilateral relations, and the important role of the legislature to strengthen the US-Azerbaijani relations.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on cooperation in energy, security, and successful participation of Azerbaijan in international peacekeeping missions, and expressed confidence in further expansion of cooperation.—06D--

President Ilham Aliyev has approved by decree the Azerbaijan-Kazakh intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in military intelligence defense sector. The document was signed in Baku on 7 June 2024.
