Baku / 05.03.18 / Turan: Issues of development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Morocco in various fields were discussed during the meeting of President Ilham Aliyev with Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bowrit on March 5.
The guest noted that Morocco recognizes the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and welcomed Baku's efforts to protect Islamic values in the international arena.
In his turn, Ilham Aliyev stressed the importance of joint efforts of Islamic countries to protect common values and fight against radicalism.
Touching on the bilateral ties, he noted the great potential for strengthening economic cooperation, increasing trade turnover and mutual investment. -02D-

On the evening of February 5, it was reported that journalist Shahnaz Beylargizi had been arrested. She had been a presenter on the Toplum TV channel for several years. After a criminal case was initiated against the channel in March 2024 and nearly all of its staff were arrested, Beylargizi was questioned multiple times.
