Ilham Aliyev Visits Frontline Zone
The Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva visited the frontline zone on May 1. They in particular visited the Terter, Barda and Agdam regions.
During the visit of a military unit in Terter, Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov informed the Supreme Commander of the latest situation on the contact line.
Aliyev got acquainted with the staff and visited the dining room and the barracks of the military unit.
The Supreme Commander met with the military and presented gifts to the soldiers who showed courage in repelling enemy attacks.
The President and his wife also visited the village Gapanli of the Terter region, located just 200 meters from the line of contact, as well as the village Mahryzly in the Agdam district, where they saw the houses destroyed during the recent shelling. They met and talked with the locals. The Head of State gave instructions related to the prompt restoration of these houses.
The Aliyevs visited the civilians injured as a result of shelling by the Armenian armed forces and treated in the Barda Therapeutic and Diagnostic Center. -06D-
