In 2017-2018 Azerbaijan imported weapons for $ 615 million
Baku / 11.03.19 / Turan: According to a study by the Stockholm Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), released on Monday, March 11, in 2017-2018 Azerbaijan imported arms and ammunition worth $ 615 million. In 2017 and 2018, respectively, 285 million and 330 million dollars.
Arms were purchased from Belarus, Czech Republic, Israel, Slovakia, Pakistan, Turkey. In 2018, Azerbaijan purchased 10 Polonez B-200BM multiple rocket launcher systems from Belarus. The Czech Republic supplied 30 RM-70 122 mm systems.
Israel delivered six OPV-62 patrol ships, two Saar-72 ships, 100 Orbiter 1K attack drone, 250 Spike-NLOS missiles, 100 SandCat armored vehicles, 100 Skystriker drones, two Hermes-900 drone vehicles, 50 LORA missiles, four jet systems LORA, 10 Sandcat SPEAR 120 mm armored vehicles.
Pakistan has supplied 10 MFI-17 Supporter fighters.
Russia delivered 70 BTR-82A, 800 9M123 / AT-15 armored personnel carriers and 24 Chrysanthemum-C anti-tank missiles 9P157-2. Slovakia supplied 36 units of the 152-mm self-propelled artillery systems DANA. Turkey supplied 5 weapons systems SOM. Unknown country delivered two American multi-purpose helicopter Bell 412. -0-
