In a conversation with Putin, Erdogan stressed the need for a ceasefire
Baku/27.03.22/Turan: Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan told his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in a telephone conversation on Sunday that a ceasefire and improvement of humanitarian conditions are necessary. This is reported by Reuters with reference to the office of the President of Turkey.
"Erdogan noted the importance of a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine, establishing peace and improving the humanitarian situation in the region," his office said in a statement.
He added that they agreed that the next round of negotiations of the working groups of Ukraine and Russia will be held in Istanbul.
Earlier on Sunday, Ukrainian negotiator David Arahamia said that the next round of face-to-face talks between Ukraine and Russia will be held in Turkey on March 28-30.—0—
