In Place of Arif Mammadov Appointed Agshin Mehdiyev
To the office of Permanent Representative to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to the EU was appointed special envoy of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Agshin Mehdiyev. This is stated in the press service of the Foreign Ministry.
He will begin work from December 1, 2015.
Mehdiyev previously headed the Mission of Azerbaijan to the Council of Europe (2001-2006) and the United Nations (2006-2014).
Mehdiyev replaced the representative of the OIC in the EU Arif Mamedov, who departed from the diplomatic service of Azerbaijan after the persecution arranged against him because of the critical status in connection with numerous victims of the fire in a high-rise building in Baku. -06D-
