Incident in Ankara on Action Dedicated to Khojaly
Yesterday an unknown group attacked stands devoted to Khojaly genocide installed on a central square in Ankara Kizilay. This occurred during the collection of signatures in favor of the recognition of the tragedy of genocide.
The campaign was conducted by the Society of Turkists Gekboru. The group demolished the stands and threw stones and pieces of glass at the campaigners, and beat them with batons. The incident resulted in seven people being injured.
Turkish authorities have not yet commented on the incident. -16D-
