Three activists of the Khachmaz district organization of the party Musavat were detained by the police last night. In the morning Khachmaz District Court sentenced the head of the regional organization Geibat Amrakhov and the activists Fikret Aliyev and Aladdin Mirzoev to 10 days of arrest. According to him, the party members were arrested in connection with yesterday's protests in Khudat. It began after an accident involving border guards and local residents. The military that ran over a local car began to insult the locals, causing unrest in the town.
Because of this, the district head Shamsaddin Khanbabaev and the Commander of Border Troops Elchin Guliyev had to come to the place.
Police also detained an elderly teacher Maleena Balakhanova, but she was released in the morning. In addition, police are looking for the former head of the Khachmaz district organization of Musavat Ramazan Aliyev.
Aslanly declared the innocence of those arrested. They only shared the news on social networks.
Conducting arrests, the authorities are trying to assign responsibility to the party Musavat.
A source in the local law enforcement agency confirmed the arrests and said that the people were arrested for "indecent behavior in a public place." One of the locals was also arrested for 10 days.
According to the same source, the investigation into the actions of the servicemen that committed the accident is in the Sumgait Military Prosecutor Office.
