Iranian parliament condemns opening of Azerbaijani Embassy in Israel
Baku/05.04.23/Turan: On April 5, 210 deputies of the Iranian parliament adopted a statement condemning the opening of the Azerbaijani embassy in Israel. They called on the Iranian Foreign Ministry to take diplomatic measures in this regard, the IRNA news agency said.
The statement says that the Azerbaijani government is acting "contrary to the interests of the Islamic world by opening an embassy in the center of the Zionist regime, presenting its ambassador to the fake regime." This step of the Azerbaijani government "will have many negative political consequences, and the Muslims of the world will consider them as accomplices of the Zionist regime that kills and oppresses the Palestinians."
The Iranian parliament appealed to the governments of Arab and Islamic countries, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to condemn this step of Azerbaijan.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran has been invited to send a corresponding appeal to all Islamic countries. ---02D---
