At today's meeting of the National Council a letter of Rustam Ibrahimbayov, a single opposition candidate in the presidential election, has been read.
Due to the current problems in registering Ibrahimbayov as a candidate because of the presence of Russian citizenship, the playwright proposed to elect Jamil Hasanli as a reserve candidate. The meeting participants welcomed the proposal. The meeting continues.
Today the National Council should make the final decision and develop strategy on Ibrahimbayov’s participation or non-participation in the elections. -06В-
