Karabakh separatists reject Pashinyan's steps towards reconciliation with Azerbaijan

Baku/27.12.21/Turan: Today the so-called "parliament" of Nagorno-Karabakh sharply condemned the statements of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on December 24. 

“The fate of Artsakh has not been and will not be a monopoly of any political force. Representing the opinion and position of wide public and political circles of the Republic of Artsakh, we express our disagreement and indignation at a number of dangerous and distorted formulations and ideas that were voiced in Nikol Pashinyan's interview on December 24”.

Thus, the Karabakh Armenians reject the possibility of the region being part of Azerbaijan and declare the continuation of the struggle for the international recognition of the "NKR". The statement also expressed outrage at the fact that Pashinyan mentioned the Azerbaijani population of Karabakh and its rights.

The Karabakh Armenians declare the inadmissibility of expressing any position without taking into account their position and reserve the right to make decisions regarding the future of Karabakh, the statement said.

Thus, the aggravation of relations between the official Yerevan and the Karabakh Armenians is aggravated. However, the Armenians of Karabakh are heavily dependent on Yerevan financially and politically, not to mention security. The further development of events in the region will largely depend on how these contradictions are resolved. -02B-
