Киев ждет официальной реакции Баку - посол
Baku/25.02.22/Turan: For the second day, Russian troops have been waging war against Ukraine, inflicting missile attacks on civilian and military targets. Stubborn battles are going on for Kiev, the city is being shelled with rockets, just like Ganja during the 44-day war. Ambassador of Ukraine to Azerbaijan Vladislav Kanevsky said this at a press conference on Friday. He thanked the people of Azerbaijan for their solidarity with Ukraine.
“Yesterday and today, there are numerous calls and appeals with words of solidarity with Ukraine from citizens of Azerbaijan. They carry flowers to the embassy building in memory of the dead. I thank the people of Azerbaijan for this support,” the ambassador said.
The diplomat stressed that he expects an official reaction from the Azerbaijani authorities. At the same time, he said that Azerbaijani officials expressed their position at the OSCE meeting. "As a strategic partner of Ukraine, Azerbaijan has always supported us," the ambassador said.
Regarding the situation with Azerbaijani citizens in Ukraine, Kanevsky said that those who wish to leave the country can do it by land, since the airspace is closed.-16D-
