Baku/19.10.21/Turan: The command-staff exercises of the Azerbaijani armed forces started on October 19 in the Lachin region. According to the Ministry of Defense press service, the exercises are held one ground, maps and terrain mock-ups with extensive use of communication means.
"In the course of the command-staff exercises, the interaction of the ground forces with other types of troops is tested with the use of modern management methods," the report says.
It is not reported where exactly the exercises are held and how many troops and equipment are involved therein.
It should be recalled that the Lachin region is located between Karabakh and the territory of Armenia. The entire region was taken over by Baku as a result of the Second Karabakh War. At present, the regional center - the town of Lachin is under the control of Russian peacekeepers, as well as the Lachin corridor - the road from Karabakh to Armenia. According to the trilateral agreement, Lachin will be returned to Azerbaijan in two years, and the route of the Lachin corridor will be changed. -02D-
