Large-Scale Exercises of Armed Forces of Azerbaijan
Baku / 02.07.18 / Turan: A large-scale exercise of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces began on Monday with the participation of units of various types and branches of troops.
The venue of the exercise is not reported. According to the press service of the Ministry of Defense, the exercises involve 20,000 soldiers, hundreds of armored vehicles, more than 200 rocket-artillery units of various types and 30 military aircraft.
The purpose of the exercise is to develop combat operations, including striking missiles, artillery and precise shooting systems, as well as aviation and UAVs, against a conventional opponent. It is a model of offensive operation aimed at the liberation of the occupied territories.
Note that the exercises are conducted in the period of maximum heat on the territory of the whole country. Earlier, the press service of the Defense Ministry said the exercises will not be held between 11:00 and 17:00 - the time of maximum heat. The exercises will last until July 6. -02D-
