Lavrov"s Optimistic Statement on Karabakh Settlement
The time has come to intensify the negotiations on the settlement of the Karabakh problem, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, according to RIA Novosti.
"There is reason to believe that the time has come to intensify our efforts," Lavrov said at a meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart Elmar Mammadyarov.
According to the Russian minister, given the general mood and orientation to the result, "we can ensure that progress."
For its part, Mammadyarov said that the ended lengthy negotiations on the settlement of Iran's nuclear program gives hope that the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict can be resolved.
"The settlement gets on track for an early breakthrough," said the head of the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan. -02D-

"Есть основания полагать, что пришло время интенсифицировать наши усилия", — сказал Лавров на встрече с азербайджанским коллегой Эльмаром Мамедъяровым.
Как заявил российский министр, учитывая общий настрой и нацеленность на результат, "мы можем этот прогресс обеспечить".
Со своей стороны Мамедъяров отметил, что завершившиеся длительные переговоры по урегулированию ядерной программы Ирана дают надежду на то, что и нагорно-карабахская проблема может разрешиться.
"Урегулирование становится на рельсы для скорейшего прорыва", — сказал глава МИД Азербайджана. -02D-
