Lawsuit against the brother of Serge Sargsyan
Yerevan / 02.07.18 / Turan: Ambassador at Large Levon Sargsyan, brother of former Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, , his son Narek and daughter Ani are suspected of illegal enrichment and tax evasion, stated the press service of the Special Investigation Service (SIS) of Armenia. On June 29, the SIS accepted the criminal case instituted in the Investigation Department of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia on the fact of concealing the property to be declared and illegal enrichment. According to the case file, Levon Sargsyan, his son and daughter are suspected of committing criminal acts.
Thus, during the search of Narek Sargsyan's apartment, documents on the storage of $6.8 million in one of the Armenian banks were found and seized. During the investigation it was found out that Levon Sargsyan and his daughter did not declare these funds and did not provide explanations about the origin of this money. -02D-

On the evening of February 5, it was reported that journalist Shahnaz Beylargizi had been arrested. She had been a presenter on the Toplum TV channel for several years. After a criminal case was initiated against the channel in March 2024 and nearly all of its staff were arrested, Beylargizi was questioned multiple times.
