Leyla Aliyeva Not Going to Run for Deputy Seat
Messages on the nomination of the Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva as deputy candidate do not correspond to reality, said the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
"Leyla Aliyeva is actively involved in social and political life of the country. She is the author and initiator of various projects in the arts, the environment and the social sphere. Currently, however, the question of Leyla Aliyeva’s nomination to the parliament is untrue and messages about this are unfounded," the statement says.
Note that the idea of nominating Leyla Aliyeva as deputy candidate was expressed by the Deputy Executive Secretary of the ruling party New Azerbaijan (NAP) Siyavush Novruzov yesterday. According to him, such proposals come from the rank and file party members. -06D-
