Leyla Yunus transferred to MNS detention facility
The Director of the Institute for Peace and Democracy (IPD), Leyla Yunus has been transferred from Kurdakhani Detention Center No 1 to the Detention Unit of the Ministry of National Security (MNS).
The IPD expert, Azad Isazadeh told Turan that on the morning of October 20 he came to the detention facility in Kurdakhani to pass a parcel for Leyla, but the administration announced that she had been translated to MNS.
Yunusov stayed in the Kurdakhani Detention Center for 2.5 months and regularly complained about psychological and physical torture.
Her husband Arif Yunusov was also detained and put In the MNS Detention Facility in early August. Both are accused of treason. The international community considers them political prisoners. --0--
