Mayor of Marneuli detained on charges of inhuman treatment
Tbilisi / 13.06.18 / Turan: The prosecutor's office of Georgia detained the Mayor of Marneuli, the Azerbaijani Teymur Abasov on charges of inhuman treatment. The detention is connected with the fact of a group humiliating treatment of a citizen of Marneuli, who was forced to ask for forgiveness on the camera, and then put it on the Internet. According to unofficial sources, the mayor himself did this. However, Abbasov told reporters that he did not know what had happened.
Earlier, a resident of Marneuli posted a video on the Internet about participation in a rally in Tbilisi, where he curses the head of Marneuli and members of his family in the Azerbaijani language. On the second video, he apologizes for his words. Behind the scenes, accusations have been made against this person.
Marneuli is a place of compact residence of Azerbaijanis. Tens of thousands of Azerbaijanis live in 72 villages of the region. -02D-
