Meeting of Iran-Azerbaijan Military Commission in Tehran
Baku / 26.02.20 / Turan: The second joint military commission of Iran and Azerbaijan with the participation of military delegations of the two countries was held in the building of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces in Tehran on Wednesday.
The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Head of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, General Gadir Nezami and the Deputy Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan, Lieutenant General Fuad Mammadov, the IRNA news agency reported.
The topic of negotiations was the exchange of military delegations, visits of officials, joint exercises, research, cultural and sports events.
The parties also touched upon the issues of combating terrorism, human trafficking, drug trafficking in the Caspian and security in the Caucasus region.
The 3rd military commission of Iran and Azerbaijan will be held in Baku next year. -02D-
