Meeting of the Defense Ministers of Azerbaijan and Latvia
On Tuesday the Azerbaijani Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov received the Minister of Defense of Latvia Raimonds Vejonis. Hasanov spoke about the military-political situation in the region and the threat to regional stability, according to the press service of the Defense Ministry. In particular, he noted the need to resolve the Karabakh conflict in accordance with international law and UN Security Council resolutions.
Vejonis called Azerbaijan an important partner in Europe. During the talks, the sides discussed bilateral relations and other issues of mutual interest. The visit of the Latvian Minister will continue until 11 August. -16D-
