Meeting of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan
Baku/08.12.23/Turan: On Friday, Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Secretary General of the Council of Europe Marija Pejcinovic-Buric discussed issues of bilateral cooperation and the situation in the region in Baku. According to Jeyhun Bayramov, during the time of Azerbaijan's accession to the Council of Europe, the country "closely cooperated with the Council of Europe in the areas of human rights protection, the rule of law and the development of democracy."
Within the framework of the current Action Plan, the parties noted fruitful work in improving the justice system, media development and other areas. Bayramov also informed about the post-conflict situation after the restoration of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and the results of the anti-terrorist operation, the Foreign Ministry said. -0-
