Meetings with Members of the South Caucasus Forum
May 5, President Ilham Aliyev received OSCE PA Special Representative for the South Caucasus Joao Soares. The meeting discussed issues of bilateral cooperation and the settlement of the Karabakh conflict.
May 6, Ilham Aliyev received the former President of Latvia Valdis Zatlers, who arrived in Baku to participate in the South Caucasus Online, and on May 4 he received former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak.
As for the mentioned forum, it is supported by the Azerbaijani authorities in Ganja. It will bring together about 40 former and current Heads of governments of different countries. The purpose of this three-day event is the strengthening of the international relations of Azerbaijan. At the same time, official sources have not published the program of the event. -16D-

During the ongoing COP29 climate conference in Baku on November 14, a group of activists staged a protest condemning Russia's aggression against Ukraine. The activists also denounced countries that supply oil and weapons to nations waging aggressive wars. The protest featured placards with slogans such as: "From fossil fuels to peace!", "End war crimes!", "Punish the aggressor!", and "Phase out fossil fuel use to achieve peace!" among others.

The United States and the European Union, which tried to position themselves as mediators in the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict, have come up with nothing and merely copied Russia's ideas, distorting their essence in order to "hijack" the peace process for themselves.
