M.Miralioglu: The ruling regime is the largest evil
Roundtable discussion on "Where does the corrupt and criminalized leadership lead the country?" was organized on Friday by a consultative Mejlis of democratic forces, uniting several opposition parties.
The head of the Classic Popular Front Party, Mirmahmud Miralioghlu, said that the ruling party running the country for 20 years is "corrupt to the marrow and bones." Just three years ago, these same authorities argued that there is no corruption in the country and all the talk on this subject is a machinations of internal and external enemies. Now they say that this must be fought.
"There is not any area where there is no corruption, and which would not have suppressed the rights of citizens. Therefore, the biggest challenge for the country is the very power itself," said Miralioghlu.
All business areas have been monopolized by senior government officials, who get rich and make their business through state funds.
As a result, a category of officials-oligarchs has been formed. It is no accident that among those arrested in the fight against corruption, most are members of the ruling party, said Miralioghlu.
The rest of the speakers seriously criticized indifferent of authorities to what is happening in society, and in particular the lack of official response to exposure from the Rector of the International University, Elshad Abdullayev.
As for the ways out of this situation, the participants of debates supported the unification of all opposition forces in an election year. The opposition in its present state, will not be able to win, the participants believe. -05C04-
