Moscow and Tehran are forcing the "3+3" format
Baku/11.10.23/Turan: On October 10, at the initiative of the Iranian side, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov had a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Abdollahian.
According to the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry, among other things, the parties discussed the current situation in the South Caucasus.
"The Ministers spoke in favor of the prompt resumption of joint work within the framework of the 3+3 Consultative Regional Platform for the South Caucasus." This format is directed against the participation of the West in the affairs of the region and assumes the settlement of the Karabakh conflict with the participation of the three countries of the South Caucasus, as well as Turkey, Russia and Iran. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev also spoke in favor of this format today.
A day earlier, the "3+3" format was also supported by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The only country that ignores this format so far is Georgia. ---02D---
